Industrial Safety and Health Policy

Fuji Pharma Group finds it an important management issue to "secure occupational health and safety" as the foundation through the implementation of Fuji Pharma's Corporate Philosophy: "We help people lead health lives by offering excellent pharmaceuticals." and "Our corporate growth is proportional to our personal growth." We believe the environment where employees of Fuji Pharma Group can work with peace of mind will enable the production of high-quality drugs, contribution to society, and eventually happiness of each employee. To this end, we are working on the following:

  1. Hazard and safety assessmentWe conduct hazard and safety assessment for drugs that are studied, developed, and manufactured by Fuji Pharma Group, establish rules for selecting, installing, and improving appropriate manufacturing equipment and wearing occupational safety and health protective gear, and enforce safety and health measures for workers.
  2. Promotion of health and safety activitiesBased on the applicable laws and regulations, we establish a safety and health management system centered on the safety and health committee in cooperation with the safety manager, health manager, and industrial physician, promote safety and health activities in each department, and actively work on specific measures to prevent disasters.
  3. Safety and health supportWe actively develop initiatives based on the basic health management policy to promote measures for maintaining and promoting the health of employees and their families, such as work environmental measurement, office environmental measurement, regular health checkup, special health checkup (organic solvents), measures to promote and enhance health maintenance, measures to prevent overwork, measures to prevent passive smoking, and mental health measures.
  4. Initiatives to prevent industrial accidentsBy collecting and analyzing near-miss cases, we identify the causes of incidents, proactively take measures to prevent recurrence/occurrence, and implement a commendation system. As an initiative for safety education, we continuously conduct health and safety training, risk prediction drill, etc. and actively raise awareness of health and safety of each employee.
